Accessibility policy

This page sets out the standards to which the website has been developed and how you can get the most out of the website.

The supplier of this Service has taken steps to ensure that the pages on this website are accessible to all users. This includes people with disabilities who use assistive technology to access the internet, as well as people who may experience other obstacles in accessing websites.

This website follows the WAI Web Contact Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 which are standards created by the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI).

Funding Central regularly assesses the site for accessibility issues, and we aim to fix any issues as soon as we find them.

Font size

This website uses relative text sizing. Users of visual browsers can increase or decrease text size using options in their software.

  • Internet Explorer - Go to the 'View' menu, choose 'Text Size' and choose an option from the menu.
  • Mozilla Firefox - Go to the 'View' menu, choose 'Text Size' then choose 'Increase' or 'Decrease' to make the text bigger or smaller.
  • Opera - Go to the 'View' menu, choose 'Zoom' and choose a magnification level.

Over the coming weeks we will also be adding a text size changer tool across all pages that will allow you to change the font size within the actual page.

Technology

The website has been tested in the following browsers (on Mac and PC where relevant):

  • Internet Explorer 6, 7 and 8
  • Firefox (v1-3)
  • Netscape (v6-7)
  • Opera (v8-9)
  • Safari (3-4)

In older or minority browsers the Service may revert to a simple, text only version. This allows us to provide a rich browsing experience to those using modern web browsing technologies, while ensuring that all other users can access content.

JavaScript

To get the most out this website you will need to have JavaScript enabled. JavaScript is a scripting language which enables web developers to design interactive and intuitive websites. Most of today's websites require JavaScript in order to function properly. If JavaScript is disabled in your Web browser some pages will not function properly.

Click here to learn how to enable JavaScript.

The website also uses a small amount of Flash. However, it will be fully functional for any user without this technology, and has been fully tested under those circumstances. However, some pages will look slightly different and some processes may function slightly differently.

If whilst using this service you feel that any aspect of it does not work to your satisfaction, please do not hesitate to contact us so we may fully investigate your experiences and help to provide the best service possible.
